300 bunches of cut tulips donated to Key Workers
At the start of April over 300 bunches of flowers have been donated from the gardens at Herstmonceux Castle to NHS workers, carers and vulnerable people in the local area.
The blooms weren’t going to be seen by our visitors so it seemed like the best way to bring some happiness to those really in need of a lift in spirits.
Garden and Grounds manager Guy Lucas said “We’re delighted by the response we have received from all those that were given a bunch of flowers from our gardens. These included NHS Care Packages, Hailsham Crisis support and those in need in the Herstmonceux community. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the gardens and grounds at sometime later this year.”
